Sites I Cannot Live Without + A Very Very Very Special Announcement

Hey guys!!

To be honest, I am working on a short story for yall now, but really I don't want to disappoint you guys, so I thought I better work out a couple of chapters before publishing the first, just so that I will have something to post when I don't have time or inspiration to write.

But to give yall a little something to read while I'm working on that, I decided to give you guys a little insight on the websites I use most often, and those that are really my bae website.

  1. http://putlocker.is/ (putlocker)
  2. http://www.listentoyoutube.com/ (listentoyoutube.com)
  3. http://www.metrolyrics.com/ (metrolyrics)
  4. http://www.irisxi.com/ (Iris Media)
  5. https://www.youtube.com/ (youtube)
  6. http://www.dailymotion.com/sg (Dailymotion)

I also realised the lack of study material available to help students online, so I'm actually thinking about publishing my own study notes after my End Of Year Exams or after I graduate next year, what do you guys think? Will it be helpful for you guys? Let me know so I can decide whether to do it or not.

But since I'm not taking every available subject, I shall only publish those that I actually study, which are:
  • English 1128
  • Chinese 1160
  • Higher Chinese 1116
  • Elementary Mathematics 4048
  • Additional Mathematics 4047
  • Elective History 2267*
  • Social Studies 2267*
  • Physics 5059
  • Chemistry 5073
  • Biology 5158
* Basically, this is a combined subject*

Textbooks I use:
  • English > NIL
  • Chinese > Nope
  • Higher Chinese > Not In Use
  • Elementary Mathematics > Shinglee 7th Edition
  • Additional Mathematics > Additional Maths 360
  • Elective History > Unit 2: The World In Crisis, Unit 3: Bi-Polarity and The Cold War
  • Social Studies > Upper Secondary Social Studies
  • Physics > Physics Matters 2nd Edition
  • Chemistry > Chemistry Matters 2nd Edition
  • Biology > Biology Matters 2nd Edition
This may also be a good time to remind you guys that I am studying under the Singapore Education System in a public school, and the topics I do may or may not be the same for schools using other textbooks or teaching another syllabus. I have also included the examination code for my subjects, and hopefully they will be the same as yours.

Till the next time!

My Final Goodbye To You

29 July 2016         8.02pm

That was my last ride. The last time you fetched me from Point A to B. The last time before your owner is no longer us. The last goodbye that almost broke my heart.

You have been there for me since the very start, from Primary 1 until now.

You were there to bring me to most, if not all of my tuition classes.

You were there when I received my PSLE results.

You were there to celebrate with me when my results came back.

You were there to fetch Grandma to where she wanted to go.

You were there to bring me to the hospital to visit Grandma in her final months.

You brought me from HIPS to NCHS.

You brought me to Malaysia, my first 'road trip'.

You were there, every morning and most of the time, after school, to either bring me to school or to bring me home.

You were my touchstone, the one thing that didn't change even when I lost so many loved ones. How could I ever forget how Emily came down to you every morning with her brothers and pressed your horn. How could I ever forget the joy that you brought me, the convenience that came with your existence.

I lost Grandma, and that was hard enough to deal with, no that was terrible to deal with.

But now, I lost you.

You started and ended my day. I saw you every day. Nothing will ever be the same again.

Nothing will ever be the same, ever again.

Thank you, for always being there, for bringing me so much joy, for bringing me so much convenience. Thank you, for being in my life.

Although it really pains me to let you go, I hope your next 5 years will be as joyful as the 9 years you spent with me, and then it truly will be goodbye.

The Photography Journey of a Lion City Kia- Chapter 1

Hey guys,

I'm actually surprised you guys still follow this space here, since I rarely ever update now.  But still, I really am really grateful for that.

As those who have followed me from the time I started this blog, you probably already know that I am in my school's Multimedia Club, so that pretty much explains my love for photography. So one day, I thought, since I can't update a story all the time, I might as well post the photos I took along with a little caption or something.

Just a little something for you guys to enjoy.

So this is the very first one!

Waterway Point, 24 April 2016

This is a picture I took at Waterway Point, you guys probably know that already, don't you. Well, I was out having dinner there with my family, and I was just randomly shooting some images and it happened that this one turned out really well, and well, it is my favourite photo at the moment.

Just to clarify, I took this photo on my phone (I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge now), so even though I really love those "professional" cameras like a DSLR, it really goes to show that you CAN take high quality photos with your phone, because sometimes, when a great photography opportunity comes, you really don't want to miss it just because you don't have a camera with you.

Now, my belief when it come to photography, is that the feeling you get when you look at a photo is of utmost importance.

I know many photography training courses will tell you to use this technique, or that technique, and yes, I agree that it may enhance your photo, but if the techniques don't come naturally for you, DON'T FORCE IT. Just take a photo based on your instincts, and who knows, it may turn out great!

For aspiring professional photographers to be, keep a look out for my posts. If I have enough time, I will put in some tips for y'all. That said, I am still a student, so I may make mistakes too. I promise that I'll do research, but if my techniques don't work for you, please don't force it. The feeling you get from a photo is really of utmost importance, I really cannot emphasize that more.

So this is it for today. I know it is exam season, so all the best guys! JIA YOU!

A Tribute to the Challengers of NCHS

Hey guys,

This really is a tribute to my class, but feel free to enjoy it if you want.

For my classmates coming over from Facebook, Instagram or Twitter,

A big hug to all of you. Thank you for supporting, and this post is for you.

A throwback to last year, where we were all babies of Nan Chiau, the new kids, trying to get to know the school and more importantly, trying to get our bearings and get to know each other. Those were the times when cliques were first formed and new friends were made, different to those we had in primary school.

Time flew, and despite all our differences, we bonded as a class, and had plenty of crazy times.

Remember our class barbeque, where we had so much fun teasing and disturbing our FT, Mr Tan?

Remember Physics lessons, where Mr Tan could turn the introduction to Light, in to Dating 101 for the guys?

Remember the fun we had at CFA, and when we were doing the ACRES roadshow?

Those were the crazy times, and I look forward to our last meeting, for our final class gathering.

Most of us have got different aspirations and will choose different subject combinations. Most of us will not be in the same class agian next year. I wish all of you all the best, and may you be able to do well, and score well in every assignment.

Wishing all of you all the best, and I enjoyed these two years with you guys, and I hope you guys feel the same.

With that, I will end this blog post, but the feeling of longing to repeat the year will still be there, no matter how much I look forward to the new academic year.
