The Photography Journey of a Lion City Kia- Chapter 1

Hey guys,

I'm actually surprised you guys still follow this space here, since I rarely ever update now.  But still, I really am really grateful for that.

As those who have followed me from the time I started this blog, you probably already know that I am in my school's Multimedia Club, so that pretty much explains my love for photography. So one day, I thought, since I can't update a story all the time, I might as well post the photos I took along with a little caption or something.

Just a little something for you guys to enjoy.

So this is the very first one!

Waterway Point, 24 April 2016

This is a picture I took at Waterway Point, you guys probably know that already, don't you. Well, I was out having dinner there with my family, and I was just randomly shooting some images and it happened that this one turned out really well, and well, it is my favourite photo at the moment.

Just to clarify, I took this photo on my phone (I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge now), so even though I really love those "professional" cameras like a DSLR, it really goes to show that you CAN take high quality photos with your phone, because sometimes, when a great photography opportunity comes, you really don't want to miss it just because you don't have a camera with you.

Now, my belief when it come to photography, is that the feeling you get when you look at a photo is of utmost importance.

I know many photography training courses will tell you to use this technique, or that technique, and yes, I agree that it may enhance your photo, but if the techniques don't come naturally for you, DON'T FORCE IT. Just take a photo based on your instincts, and who knows, it may turn out great!

For aspiring professional photographers to be, keep a look out for my posts. If I have enough time, I will put in some tips for y'all. That said, I am still a student, so I may make mistakes too. I promise that I'll do research, but if my techniques don't work for you, please don't force it. The feeling you get from a photo is really of utmost importance, I really cannot emphasize that more.

So this is it for today. I know it is exam season, so all the best guys! JIA YOU!

A Tribute to the Challengers of NCHS

Hey guys,

This really is a tribute to my class, but feel free to enjoy it if you want.

For my classmates coming over from Facebook, Instagram or Twitter,

A big hug to all of you. Thank you for supporting, and this post is for you.

A throwback to last year, where we were all babies of Nan Chiau, the new kids, trying to get to know the school and more importantly, trying to get our bearings and get to know each other. Those were the times when cliques were first formed and new friends were made, different to those we had in primary school.

Time flew, and despite all our differences, we bonded as a class, and had plenty of crazy times.

Remember our class barbeque, where we had so much fun teasing and disturbing our FT, Mr Tan?

Remember Physics lessons, where Mr Tan could turn the introduction to Light, in to Dating 101 for the guys?

Remember the fun we had at CFA, and when we were doing the ACRES roadshow?

Those were the crazy times, and I look forward to our last meeting, for our final class gathering.

Most of us have got different aspirations and will choose different subject combinations. Most of us will not be in the same class agian next year. I wish all of you all the best, and may you be able to do well, and score well in every assignment.

Wishing all of you all the best, and I enjoyed these two years with you guys, and I hope you guys feel the same.

With that, I will end this blog post, but the feeling of longing to repeat the year will still be there, no matter how much I look forward to the new academic year.

Peacing Out,
~jessykeejiayi><
